When did you start your business?
We started our company in April 2016.
At what point in your life did you realize the food industry was your passion?
I was 14 when I had my first taste of the restaurant and hospitality business and that’s when I knew. That was almost 40 years ago!
How would you describe a typical day running Sprig?
We have more than 20 locations, so much of my day is spent on the phone while traveling to our various locations and coordinating with managers.
Who/what inspires you most?
My mom was a huge inspiration as a child, as we ate her food together at our family table. Also, I’m always inspired when I’m at some sort of market or at a new restaurant. Even smelling something new inspires me. And of course, when others share compelling experiences, I always feel inspired.
What is something that people don’t know about you?
People may not know that my love of design extends past food – I am also a fan of art, clothing, and architecture.
What is your favorite food spot in the Harborside neighborhood?
Salt & Seed.
What’s a go-to meal you make at home?
Fish primarily, and whatever inspires me while shopping as a compliment.
How do you spend your days “off”?
Finding new and exciting places for great food.
What’s one secret talent outside the kitchen nobody knows about you?
I built my dining room table.
